OUR BY-LAWS

Our By-Laws preserve and secure the principles of our faith, and define the organization of our church for effective decision making and operations. They preserve the liberties of each individual church member and the freedom of action of this body in its relation to other churches.

OUR BELIEFS

We believe the basis of the Christian faith is the Bible, which is the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Exodus 20:2-3; Deuteronomy 6:4; John 10:30; j Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 John 5:7; Ephesians 4:4-6)

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His Virgin Birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.
(Matthew 1:18; Philippians 2:6-8; Romans 3:24-26; Galatians 2:16; Colossians 1:15-20; Romans 5:1-9; John 11:25; Philippians 3:10; Matthew 28:6-7; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 John 2:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13)

We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. His body, which is composed of all people, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith. God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.

(Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:23-25; Acts 16:5)

We believe the Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believer's personal growth and service to the body.
(Acts 2:32-38; 1 Corinthians 12:3; 1 Corinthians 12:14-27)

We believe humans were originally created in the image of God. However, they sinned and their sin has alienated them from their Creator. The only way to a relationship with God is through trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and repentance from sin. Salvation comes only through God’s saving grace -- not human effort -- and must be received personally by repentance and faith.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8-10; John 3:3-5; Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 3:5-7; John 1:12-13; John 14:6)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. They who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

(1 Corinthians 15:21-23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25:32-34)

We believe that the ordinances of the Church, given by our Lord, are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). Baptism is by immersion. The Lord’s supper is an important act of remembrance of the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
(Acts 22:16; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 8:38; Matthew 3:16; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation. The fulfillment of that Great Commission requires that all worldly and personal ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to "Him who loved us and gave Himself for us."
(Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

We believe in the Priesthood of Believers. Every believer in Jesus Christ has direct access to God through Jesus Christ with no mediator other than Christ.  The believer is privileged to read and interpret the Scriptures as guided by the Holy Spirit.

(1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 4:16; John 14:13-14; 1 John 1:9; Hebrews 9:12-24; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20)
